Because water-based formulas need preservatives to stay safe and fresh (and to prevent bacteria, yeast, and mold), withSimplicity uses a gentle, clean preservative system that is 100% plant or fermentation derived and skin-friendly.

Preservatives we use include:

• Lactobacillus Ferment – a probiotic-based ferment that helps protect formulas from microbial growth.

• Sodium Levulinate – a naturally derived salts that helps protect against bacteria.

• Sodium Anisate – derived from anise; helps provide broad protection, especially against yeast/mold.

• Glyceryl Undecylenate – helps protect against microbes, especially fungi/yeast.

• Caprylhydroxamic Acid – a gentle preservative booster that strengthens protection, especially against mold/yeast.

• Glyceryl Caprylate – a plant-derived preservative booster that also helps soften and condition the skin.

We use these ingredients to keep our products safe, stable, and clean without harsh preservatives.
